Resource Pool:
A Resource Pool comprises multiple XenServer Host installations, bound together into a single managed entity which can host Virtual Machines. When combined with shared storage, a Resource Pool enables VMs to be started on any XenServer Host which has sufficient memory and then dynamically moved between XenServer Hosts while running with minimal downtime (XenMotion). If an individual XenServer Host suffers a hardware failure, then the Administrator can restart the failed VMs on another XenServer Host in the same Resource Pool.
If you are unsure if your license server version is current, you can verify it by comparing your version with the number on the Downloads site.
On a license server with the License Administration Console:
Start the License Administration Console from the programs menu: Citrix > Management Consoles > License Administration Console. Click Administration and select the System Information tab. See the release version in the information list. On a license server without the License Administration Console:

Can you run the chfarm command on a XenApp 6 server?
No. In previous versions of XenApp, you could run the chfarm command to remove and add a server to a farm. This command is no longer a valid method.
The following components enable you to can add a server to a farm or remove a server from a farm:
By using the Delivery Services Console Delivery Services Console Note: Using the Delivery Services Console only removes the server from farm so that it is not visible in the console.
Preferential Load Balancing assigns importance levels (Low, Normal, or High) to specific users and applications. For example, doctors and nurses in a hospital are specified as important users and MRI scans and X-rays are specified as important applications. These important users and applications with higher levels of service connect to their sessions more quickly and have more computing resources available to them. By default, a Normal level of service is assigned to all users and applications.
Hi All,
If we configure Reboot policies in Delivery Services Console, in most of the cases it might not work. All the registry settings would be fine and Citrix Modelling wizard would give positive results. But your Citrix XA servers wont reboot at the mentioned timings.Inorder to make your reboot policies work properly, you need to configure Microsoft GPO as stated follows:.
1. Ensure the “Reboot Behavior” policy is not configured in the Citrix Delivery Services Console.
Selecting the Access Method When you configure settings in Citrix XenApp or Citrix XenDesktop, you need to select the access method. These settings determine how users connect to a server farm. For more information, see the Web Interface documentation in the Technologies node in Citrix eDocs at http://edocs.citrix.com.
Direct. The XenApp online plug-ins connects to the real IP address of the target XenApp server. Use this method if users connect from the local area network (LAN) or if users has established a connection using the Access Gateway Plug-in.
Worker Groups are new in Citrix XenApp 6. They’re collections of XenApp servers that reside in the same farm and are managed as a single unit. Worker Groups let you collect servers into groups for publishing applications, load balancing, and policy filtering. They’re particularly useful for larger installations where many XenApp servers must be managed as a single unit.
A worker group is simply a collection of XenApp servers in the same farm.
Symptom:
Citrix Microsoft Management Console (MMC) based administrative consoles such as Access Management Console, Delivery Services Console take an extended time to start. Once running, the consoles operate normally.
Cause**:**
Citrix MMC based administrative consoles feature components that are written using the Microsoft .NET Framework. Citrix signs these .NET based components with an Authenticode signature as an added security mechanism.
In situations where a Citrix MMC based administrative console is run from a computer without internet access, Windows is unable to verify the Authenticode signature, and as a result this causes a delay during the startup of the console.
